Web Design
VanSuya Website Design & Development
Created the full visual identity and promotional design system for “Summer Daze,” including event flyers, DJ flyers, drink menus, and table service menus.
Year :
2026
Industry :
Restaurant
Client :
VanSuya
Project Duration :
4 weeks

Problem :
VanSuya needed an online presence that matched the quality and identity of their brand. They lacked a website that could clearly communicate their story, showcase offerings, and establish credibility with new customers.
The main challenges included:
No cohesive digital brand experience
Difficulty presenting menu and brand story in an engaging way
Limited online visibility and discoverability
Need for a modern platform that was easy to update

Solution :
A custom website experience was created to translate the feeling of dining at VanSuya into a digital format.
The solution focused on clarity, emotion, and accessibility:
Designed a modern layout highlighting authentic Nigerian BBQ and shared dining culture
Structured navigation around key user actions: menu exploration, reservations, and contact
Integrated reservation and ordering pathways for smoother customer conversion
Created strong visual hierarchy to emphasize food, experience, and community
Built a fully responsive Framer site optimized for mobile browsing
Implemented SEO-friendly structure to improve discoverability
The result is a website that introduces visitors to the brand while naturally guiding them toward booking or visiting.

Challenge :
One of the main challenges was balancing cultural authenticity with a clean, modern web aesthetic. The website needed to feel rooted in Nigerian food culture while still appealing to a broad Vancouver audience unfamiliar with suya and West African cuisine.
Another challenge was refining messaging so the website communicated both:
a casual, welcoming dining experience
and a premium, memorable food destination
Achieving this required multiple iterations in layout, content flow, and visual pacing to ensure the experience felt immersive without overwhelming users.
Summary :
The VanSuya website successfully transformed the restaurant’s online presence into a strong brand experience. The final platform communicates authenticity, community, and flavor while providing clear pathways for reservations and customer engagement.
This project demonstrates Akanbi Designs’ ability to combine branding, storytelling, and modern web development to help growing businesses translate real-world experiences into compelling digital platforms.
